Medical Plans

Group Medical coverage is designed for flexibility to meet your individual and family needs. In addition, employees who elect to participate in a health risk assessment, biometric screening and the smoking cessation program are eligible to receive a discount on their monthly contributions. We recognize the impact of medical costs to every individual and have maintained the lowest deductibles, coinsurance and co-pays available.

Dental/Vision Plans

Employees enrolled in the medical plan will automatically receive dental and vision coverage. Sponsored through Guardian, our dental and vision plans allow you to select the provider of your choice. Dental coverage features 100% employer-paid deductible for preventive services, while both plans provide a generous contribution toward routine maintenance and emergency care.

Prescription Drug Coverage

Employees enrolled in the medical plan also receive generous prescription drug coverage sponsored through WellDyne. This plan features very low co-pays for both generic and brand-name prescriptions processed via mail order or a retail pharmacy location.

HealthCounts Wellness Program

Our HealthCounts program is designed to assess and monitor your participation in wellness activities. Wellness Directors are available at our sites to provide one-on-one consultation, as well as manage various programs throughout the year. These programs focus on nutrition, weight loss, tobacco cessation and other health concerns.

Life/AD&D Insurance

On your behalf, and at no cost to you, Intrepid provides a Life Insurance benefit equal to two times your annual salary, to a maximum of $320,000. An added benefit of $4,000 for spouse and children coverage is also provided at no cost.

Supplemental Life Insurance

Optional Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment policies for yourself, your spouse and your children are available at affordable rates through payroll deduction.

Cancer/Critical Illness Coverage

For added protection, we offer a cancer and critical illness policy that may be purchased through AIG. Insurance premiums may be deducted through payroll and are eligible as a pre-tax item.

Short- & Long-Term Disability Coverage

At no cost to you, Intrepid provides a weekly short-term disability benefit should you be unable to work for a limited period of time. You will receive 70% of your base earnings, up to $2,000 per week, for up to a period of 26 weeks. Eligible employees may elect to purchase additional long-term disability benefits that provide 60% of your base earnings once short-term disability benefits have been exhausted.

401(k) Plan

Sponsored through Fidelity Investments, our 401(k) Plan allows you to contribute a percentage of your pre-tax income toward your retirement. Once you have reached your eligibility date, you are 100% vested as of your entry date into the Plan. As an added benefit, we accept rollover contributions from other tax-deferred eligible plans, and also match a percentage of your contributions.

Flexible Spending Account

Employees may elect to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses (such as co-pays and deductibles) up to a maximum of $3,000, and for dependent care expenses up to a maximum of $5,000.
