E-mail Communication Resources

While we use various other means to communicate with our employees, we do use e-mail as one of our resources for all of our employees.  Every Intrepid employee is assigned an e-mail address and logon account in order to access electronic mail.  Your account name (not your e-mail address) will be your first and last name separated by a dot.

For Example:  john.smith

Your password will initially be:
Carlsbad Employees: Your 6 digit employee ID number
Utah Employees: The last 6 digits of your social security number

Your actual e-mail address will be:
Firstname.Lastname@intrepidpotash.com (i.e., john.smith@intrepidpotash.com)

You are able to access your e-mail from any computer through Outlook Web Access (OWA).  This e-mail account should not be used to send any blanket e-mails nor is the system to be used for personal e-mails.  Please review our employee handbook for more details on our computer use and internet access policies. 

Your e-mail box will be deleted or cleaned out on a regular basis to avoid too much data storage on our servers.

All employees are expected to check their e-mail address on a regular basis -- at least weekly.

Logging In

From any web browser, type the following in the address area:  http://mail.intrepidpotash.com

The MS Outlook Web Access (OWA) screen will appear. 

Type in your logon account in the filed labeled "Domain\user name:" (i.e., john.smith) and type in your password in the "Password:" field.

You should then see your Outlook mailbox.  

Changing Your Password  

One of the first things you should do is change your password.  To do this, click on the "Options" button in the lower left part of the screen and then scroll down to the bottom and click on the change password button.

The screen that will appear reads as "Internet Service Manager."  Enter the Domain as Intrepid, your account name (john.smith), your old password (as mentioned above, according to your location) and then a new password twice to confirm. Click "OK."
