  • Medical Plans

    We provide competitive and cost effective medical plans as a part of our overall benefits program. The medical plans are designed to provide appropriate choices that meet your individual and family needs. The plan offers the choice of two PPO plans, the Basic Choice and Premium Choice Plans. The Premium Choice Plan rewards, with lower payroll contributions and out of pocket costs, employees who maintain a lower health risk status. Throughout the year, we encourage and support employees to improve their health status with healthy lifestyle programs and opportunities to gain eligibility to the Premium Choice Plan.

  • Dental/Vision Plans

    Employees enrolled in the medical plan will automatically receive dental and vision coverage. Sponsored through Delta Dental of Colorado and VSP, our dental and vision plans allow you to select the provider of your choice. Dental coverage features 100% coverage for preventive services, while both plans provide generous coverage for routine maintenance and required care.

  • Prescription Drug Coverage

    Employees enrolled in the medical plan also receive generous prescription drug coverage sponsored through WellDyne. This plan features very low co-pays for both generic and brand-name prescriptions processed via mail order or a retail pharmacy location.

  • Intrepid Potash Wellness Program

    Every day of your life, you get to choose how to live a healthy lifestyle. Our wellness program encourages you to make informed decisions about your health. Intrepid Potash supports continued health with weigh loss assistance, gym memberships, diabetic drug coverage, tobacco cessation assistance and a Health & Wellness Clinic. We also offer Naturally Slim's program which lowers the health risks associated with metabolic syndrome.

  • Health and Wellness Clinic

    Intrepid is pleased to offer a Health and Wellness Clinic in Carlsbad, NM. The clinic's certified family nurse practitioner provides free, confidential care to our employees, their spouses and their children aged 13 and older.

  • Life/AD&D Insurance

    On your behalf, and at no cost to you, Intrepid provides a Life Insurance benefit equal to two times your annual salary, to a maximum of $500,000. An added benefit of $4,000 for spouse and children coverage is also provided at no cost.

  • Supplemental Life Insurance

    Optional Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment policies for yourself, your spouse and your children are available at affordable rates through payroll deduction.

  • Cancer/Critical Illness Coverage

    For added protection, we offer a cancer and critical illness policy that may be purchased through Humana. Insurance premiums may be deducted through payroll and are eligible as a pre-tax item.

  • Short- & Long-Term Disability Coverage

    At no cost to you, Intrepid provides a weekly short-term disability benefit should you be unable to work for a limited period of time. You will receive 70% of your base earnings, up to $2,000 per week, for up to a period of 26 weeks. Employees may elect to purchase additional long-term disability benefits that provide 60% of your base earnings once short-term disability benefits have been exhausted.

  • 401(k) Plan

    Sponsored through Fidelity Investments, our 401(k) Plan allows you to contribute a percentage of your pre-tax income toward your retirement. Intrepid will provide a matching contribution dollar for dollar up to 5% of your contributions. As an added benefit, we accept rollover contributions from other tax-deferred eligible plans, and also match a percentage of your contributions.

  • Flexible Spending Account

    Employees may elect to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses (such as co-pays and deductibles) up to a maximum of $2,500, and to pay for dependent care expenses up to a maximum of $5,000.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO)

    We understand that time away from work is crucial to your mental and physical well-being. That's why we offer paid time off, including vacation and holidays.

  • Tuition Reimbursement Program

    Intrepid will cover your costs for educational courses, including tuition, fees, books and required tools or supplies. Educational courses include any continuing, undergraduate or graduate course you take related to your Intrepid employment.

  • Employee Assistance Program

    We recognize that people need to balance their personal and professional lives. Our non-intrusive program offers personal support for all employees and their families. Examples include childcare referrals, relationship information, legal consultations, financial planning assistance and stress management. Trained chaplains are also available 24/7. All services are completely confidential.
